KARACHI: On a sessions court directive, a bailiff raided the Baloch Colony police station on Monday and recovered six people, including three women, apparently kept there in wrongful confinement.

The bailiff raided the police station with the applicant and his lawyer and found three men and as many women in the lockup.

The bailiff said he got the detainees released on a personal bond as there was no entry in the daily dairy about their arrest and the police officials also could not produce any concrete evidence to justify their detention.

He told the SHO and duty officer to appear before the district and sessions court (south) on Tuesday.

Khalid Bashir had moved a habeas corpus application in court and submitted that the police picked up his six tenants from their home in Manzoor Colony on Jan 4 and asked the court for their recovery.
