Six cops booked for ‘killing’ man in raid

KASUR: Kot Radha Kishan police on Sunday booked six policemen, including a sub-inspector, for torturing a man to death during a raid at Klarkabad on Sunday.

According to the complainant, Shahzad Masih, a team of Okara Cantt area police headed by SI Ghulam Ali stormed his house and started beating his father Habib Masih, with clubs. The police, he said, took away his brother Adeel, without informing the family about his crime.

He said after the raid his father Habib Masih succumbed to the injuries caused by the police.

When the police learnt about the death of Habib Masih, they released Adeel, he added.

Acting on the complaint, Kot Radha Kishan police entered a case against the suspects under Sections 302, 148 and 149 of the PPC without any arrest so far.
