KASUR: DPO Ali Nasir Rizvi on Wednesday sacked Tara Gar, Sadar police, chowki incharge for allegedly torturing a local prayer leader.

The prayer leader of Tara Gar had gathered people on Deepalpur Road to stage a demo against the police in child abuse scandal of Hussain Khanwala some weeks ago. Later, Tara Gar chowki incharge Shah Wali Khan arrested the prayer leader and allegedly tortured him severely. Taking action on the inquiry report against the accused cop, the DPO terminated him.
