There were no torture marks on the body of a 28-year-old man, who was allegedly killed in Gowalmandi police custody, says an initial autopsy report.

Shahzad, a shopkeeper, died mysteriously in the police custody on Wednesday. Family and traders of the market staged a protest against the police and alleged that the youth died of police torture.

His family members lodged an FIR against Mussarat Bibi who had a dispute with the youth.

In charge Investigation Asghar Ali Bhatti said there was no mention of torture in the initial autopsy report and said the police were waiting for forensic report by Punjab Forensic Agency for further action.
