Killing of Christian man condemned

Islamabad: Pakistan Interfaith League (PIL) Chairman Sajid Ishaq has strongly condemned the custodial killing of Zubair Masih, a 20-year-old Christian man, and brutal torture on his mother Ayesha Bibi as well as another male relative.

“It is shocking that the Punjab Police officials from the Harbans Pura area tortured this young man to the extent that he died. The innocent man was implicated in a false case of theft, which actually was lodged against his mother, Aiesha Bibi, in her mid-40s, who was working as a domestic servant at the residence of an influential person of Harbans Pura,” Sajid Ishaq said.

He said that not only the police killed young Zubair Masih but they tortured the mother, Aiesha Bibi, so much that her left arm got fractured, the right arm is also swollen and both her feet are badly swollen because of brutal torture.
