Punjab youth in illegal custody of Sindh Police

KARACHI: A young man namely Majid Niazi of Sahiwal, Punjab, is allegedly in illegal confinement of Sindh Police in district Sanghar, The News has learnt.

Sources within the police department told The News that sooner than later Majid Niazi will be killed by the Sindh Police showing him dead in a traditional police encounter.

Sources further added that Majid Niazi was brought to the police station Sanghar by the officials of district Benazir Abad (Nawabshah) Police Head constable Jam Khan Rind and Constable Ishfaq Arain to the Station House Officer (SHO) Sanghar Aijaz Shaikh.

According to the sources, Majid Niazi was first arrested by Islamabad Police onthe orders of influential personality of Islamabad, where he was kept for four days in illegal custody then handed over to district Benazirabad (Nawabshah) Police , Majid was kept at Police Station Lakaht for two days where from on Thursday Majid was handed over to district Sanghar Police and he was kept at Police Station Sanghar city where according to the same sources a senior Police Inspector is assigned to kill Maijd in a fake encounter.

Sources added that Majid Niazi was involved in personal dispute with an influential family of Sahiwal and that family used their influence e to get rid of him through Police.

SSP Nawabshah Abdul Sallam Shaikh showed his unawareness regarding the illegal confinement of Majid Niazi and regarding the all matter. On the other hand SSP Sanghar Dr Farukh Lanjar did not attend his number despite sending him text messages.
